Get medical help for things that might not need a physical check, like coughs, sore throats, headaches, or infections.
Request prescription renewals, referrals to another doctor, or blood tests and imaging (like x-rays).
Ask for medical certificates if you’re sick, and need to take time off work or study so you can get well.
To get prescriptions by SMS or email, you’ll need an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI number). If you don’t have one, it may take longer to get medication.
The quickest way to get an IHI is to simply sign in to myGov and request one.
Sign in using your Bupa account details, select your appointment, and book.
Attend your online appointment – either on your phone, or on your computer.
If requested, get eScripts on your phone, and referrals and medical certificates via email.
Blua is Bupa’s digital health platform. Blua connects eligible Bupa members to services like chemist delivery and online doctor appointments with doctors across Australia.

Yearly limits apply to Essential Lite Visitors cover, but these limits will be waived (only in relation to Blua consultations) until further notice. 100% of the appointment fees will be covered for Blua online doctor appointments. Members will only be able to book general doctor appointments via Blua. Appointments with specialists cannot be booked via Blua. Members who are 15 and over are required to book their own appointment using their own Bupa Digital Identity login. Members who are under 15 years old may need to attend the appointments with a parent or guardian. Service provided by third party partner.
