Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that helps you connect with your body and mind through slow, gentle movements and breaths.

The practice has been used for thousands of years and is believed to improve a person’s ‘qi’, the body’s natural energy flow, or life force. Qigong (pronounced ‘chee-goong’) is aimed at strengthening and balancing your qi, allowing it to flow freely throughout your body.

In traditional Chinese medicine, it’s believed that a strong, well-balanced qi can lead to lots of different health benefits. Qigong may help improve your balance, boost your focus and, potentially, lower your risk of chronic disease. The practice also has a range of fantastic mental health benefits, helping to reduce stress and anxiety in a calm, meditative space.

The best thing about qigong is that you can do it anytime.

All you'll need is a quiet space (either inside or out) and a few tranquil minutes to unplug.

After a period of energetic growth and expansion in summer, autumn provides a time of softer energy, where you can come back to yourself to reflect and refocus.

This autumn flow exercise can help you align with the energies of nature, allowing you to let go and breathe in new energy as you move through life's cycles. This practice also helps you connect with the energies of your lungs and large intestine.
